5 Favorite Things of the Moment

2 Oct

1). Grace Coddington (aka “the greatest living stylist there is”) I saw “The September Issue” last night.  She made the movie for me. She has a refreshigng, dreamer-esque approach to life that I admire. She’s an inspiration. See that movie for her alone.

2) The Phoenix album “It’s Never Been Like That” (esp. tracks 1, 5,9,10)

3). Fall is by far my favorite season of the year esp. in San Francisco. Brings back memories of being a little Freshmen on Fillmore Street. Everything feels crisp in the fall. New beginnings….rejuvenation… life…love….you get the drift.

3).  Looking through IKEA and other design catalogues and fantasizing about future rooms in future homes. Rooms that look kind of like this….

5). Learning to cook. Thanks to my mom for buying me this wonderful cookbook and some tools for the kitchen, I am well on my to learning how to cook. My first meal is scheduled for this weekend. I will let you know how it turns out on this here blog. As it was wisely put in the movie “Food, Inc.” every swipe across the green light at the grocery store (or any store for that matter), is a vote. I am paying more attention to what I am buying and consuming, and it feels good.

p.s. Celie, my favorite Monatana/Seattle aries, thanks much for inspiring this blog. Sometimes you just need a visual list of things that you love.

I did read it, but it was too hardcore for me. It would turn me into a baby devil if I ate like that…at least for now.
