Trip in Instagram

8 Sep

I am a huge fan of the beautiful and easy iphone app Instagram. It blows the Hipstamatic out of the water and turns boring camera phone photos into gems! You can find me on this wonderful app at Yearoftheratty. I will have a big post on my unforgettable trip to Savannah (new favorite city) and Charleston, but for now here are a few glimpses of the trip via Instagram.

The view from our room at the Planters Inn on Reynolds Square in Savannah, Georgia.

In front of the famous Mercer House from the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

Dave enjoying the 5:30pm “Wine and Cheese Hour” at the Planters Inn.

Savannah’s beautiful Spanish Moss

 Elizabeth on 37th

The Old Pink House….one of my favorite parts of the trip. If you go to Savannah, you must go here. It was incredible.

Appetizer time!

My meal at The Old Pink House. One of the best fish dishes of my life. Flounder with an apricot shallot sauce.

If only I could eat at a pink 200 year-old mansion every other day of the week.

In heaven with the “Make Your Own Manhattan” option at Fig in Charleston, South Carolina.

Wise words found on the walk back from dinner.

More oysters but this time during a mid-afternoon snack at Pearlz

Instagram got a write up in the LA Times today (or was it the WSJ?) You did a good job with it.
