Lake Life

15 Aug

Friends, I had one of the best trips of my life in Lake Coeur d’Alene. After almost 10 years in the city, I forgot how nice it is to be close to nature. I’ve decided that wherever I put my roots down in the future, I want it to be close to nature and conducive to a slower paced kind of life. Our days would begin with a swim, kayak ride or jaunt across the lake on the jet ski. Our afternoons were spent swimming, eating/drinking, or hanging out on the dock. Our nights would end with a cocktail hour by Mr. Rick, the best bartender on the lake, and Mrs. Ellie, the best chef around. It was so nice to disconnect, enjoy the company of loved ones and take in the fresh air and beautiful landscape. I’m convinced that lake life is the best life.

I’ll be counting down the days…

What an idyllic and photogenic week you had. Everybody looks great. Sunsets, Manhattans(?) and baby Ben–good times!
